CD: Chambermusic with piano by Richard Rössler |
Richard Rössler (1880-1962) has left beautiful lateromantic pieces. on two discs you'll find trios, sonatas and character-pieces played by Alexander Rössler, the composer's grandson at the
piano, Karin Adam and me. Have fun in discovering an unknown romantic! |
CD: Weber and Haydn Flute-Trios |
Haydn's Trios for Flute, Cello and Piano are respected and well known masterworks, but the trio by Carl Maria von Weber is, though not heard very often, nevertheless beautiful music! |
CD: Cellomusic of the Fin de Siècle in Vienna |
Sometimes it takes a little longer.... Eleven years after the actual recording this CD is finally out! The works of Johanna Müller-Hermann and Karl Weigl have never been released on CD before! |
CD: Haydn Cello Concertos |
On this CD Martin Kerschbaum conducts the Salzburg Soloists. We included on this disc the 'small D-major concerto', attributed to Haydn but probably not authentic. |
Zemlinsky-CD released on NAXOS |
My new CD with works for cello and piano by Alexander Zemlinsky was released beginning of April. |
Oktober 10th 2006 Christopher Hinterhuber and I premiered Zemlinsky's "3 Pieces for Cello and Piano" at the Wiener Musikverein
and played his cello sonata for the first time after its first performance by the composer and the dedicatee, Friedrich Buxbaum in 1894.
This sonata was considered lost for more than 100 years until the renown Zemlinsky-Biographer Antony Beaumont rediscovered it and prepared an edition. The "Trio for Clarinet, Cello and Piano op.3" from 1896 completes the CD. Read a review by "Diapason"! |
CelloclassSince March 2008 I teach Cello at the Joseph-Haydn-Conservatory Eisenstadt. |
